Anyway, Ramaphosa's own political term as leader of the ANC is soon coming to a close.

Uh, we don't know what's going on with Mashatile.

The deputy president, Paul Mashatile's son-in-law, his name is Ngayaba Nongwelo, has paid back millions owed to the Gauteng Partnership Fund as part of a settlement agreement.

So you may have seen News24 reports over the last couple of months that his companies were awarded three loans.

He has had to pay back the money, just like Paul Mashatile's son-in-law.

These people are paying back the monies because these monies were not supposed to have been with them.

Nnabanonkwelo is Deputy President Paul Mashatile's son-in-law.

Years ago, News24 started pulling on a thread.

Loans from the Gauteng Partnership Fund, money meant for low-cost housing and student accommodation in Highlands, Johannesburg.

So what is the concern about this and how does it tie back to the Deputy President?

So at the time the GPF sort of awarded the second and third loans in March of 2017, Paul Mashatile, Mr Nkwele's father-in-law, was the MEC for Human Settlements in Gateng, responsible for oversight of the GPF.

And at that point, the GPF knew the project was no longer viable, but it still made more money available for the project, you know, according to findings by a law firm.

And when we saw this congruence of timing, you know, this little known entity in Gauteng, awarding these loans to the deputy president, well, the now deputy president's son-in-law.

Ramaphosa won another round of his impeachment fight.

And Deputy President Mashatile hasn't been seen publicly since July.
