Paul Hollis

We've seen a number of interesting quarter, all the quarter programs since 1999, stated quarter and on and things like that.

But that dime... is is really impressive and i sort of hope i do hope they keep it i hope they they maintain that design i talked i asked paul hollis about that uh it's probably too early for anyone to say and maybe they the standard answer is you know probably no yet but but we'll don't need legislation to keep that design but either way it's a winner and and um hopefully they'll keep, you know, hopefully under the new direction, because I think it takes a while for Paul's thumbprint to show up at the mid-releases now, what's going to happen.

But he's definitely got, you know, your sensibility in terms of, like, what's going to work, what's not going to work.

He's got some sense of that.

Yeah, you've got it bad.

You've got it bad, my friend.

But I can tell you, thanks to Jeff Garrett, last week I was at the U.S. Mint with Paul Hollis.

He took an official visit to the Smithsonian Collection, and I was lucky enough to be invited.

And so I think that just adds so many fun things the U.S. men can do in terms of like, you know, doing those presentation pieces.

And, you know, we'll kind of see Director Hollis, I think, hopefully start to do kind of these fun little releases.

don't understand.

What is the end goal? Is Paul Hollis' goal for the mint to just make a lot of money? I don't understand the economies of these mints.

Because to me, the end goal, and typically the government is never good at making money.

So, um, oh, la- and lastly, lastly, we have a new mint director.

So Paul Hollis was-

... um, sworn in on Monday of this week.

This is very much playing into our anniversary theme.

And of course, what better than coinage than to play into that theme? We have a new Mint director in Paul Hollis.

He's super energetic and knowledgeable about the business.

I mean, the U.S. Mint has had its challenges in the past, let's say, decade or so, trying to keep collectors interested, but also building relationships outside of the normal collector base.

So what is missing from this show, Ursula? What is the obvious thing that's missing? The U.S.

Director Paul Hollis was sworn in about three weeks ago, and this weekend was the ceremony for his swearing in.

I was invited to that, and all my best friends are there.

So we're really excited for Mr. Hollis as the next Mint Director.

We're trying to bring things in.

We had the Mint director, Paul Hollis, came in and did a great interview.

So we're all trying to make... make our shows more interesting, but at the same time, right, these are serious shows for collectors, and that's great.

And so I saw online that Numis Matza is having a show in Berlin again in November, which is interesting.

Just from the standpoint of what the men's going to do every year, that, that alone makes it the shift in dates, uh, you know, uh, it makes it more logical to do it that way because the mint every year they're going to have something that's interesting that you wouldn't know

about if you had four months earlier sure and yeah with paul hollis there with new energy at the mint i think that there's going to be you know really some interesting things so right having any more time is good um let's so the other things that you know that are in this book this 27 red book how do you change we radically changed 25 to 26 And we had a lot of things to fix.

We had a lot of feedback, good, bad, or otherwise.

Mostly, I would say 90% good.

So I had a super fun week last week.

I spent a few days in Washington, D.C. with Jeff Garrett and Paul Hollis, our latest newest mint director.

So we, we had the, uh, extreme pleasure to accompany Paul to the Smithsonian Museum to view the National Numismatic Collection, or the NNC.

And it was Paul's first visit since becoming mint director.

Now, the Mint has seen where, where things have done very well after market, so that I think that's what they were trying to capitalize on.

But, um, I, I think the Mint of this moment, you know, I think Paul Hollis realizes that it's also good to give away value because they, they put these July 4 privy, uh, quarters, kind of like they put those in circulation.

Do you know what I'm talking about, Ursula? They, of, of the quarters they made, I think, um, uh, 250,000 of these quarters and put them into circulation so that you can find a golden.
