17:33
Mm
17:33
... and teaches the disciples to do? It's also in the, in the epistles as well, and, um, you know, we see through the Book of Acts, we see it in the Epistle of James, you know, lots of examples of the prayer for healing.
17:46
I think the challenge is for all of us, our experience of praying for healing is partial and disappointing.
17:54
So when I, um, am asked to speak on healing, I, I normally start with five or six of my best stories, and then say to people, at this point, some of you, probably a lot of you, absolutely hate me.
18:05
Because somebody you love, somebody you care for, or maybe yourself, um, has prayed and not experienced healing.
18:12
And then at that point I say, "Well, let, let me share a little bit of my testimony." So my wife and I have two autistic children, um, on different ends of the spectrum.
18:23
They have been prayed for by pretty much anybody that has a powerful international healing ministry that we ever managed to invite to a New Wine conference.
19:50
Hmm.
29:52
Mm.
29:53
Um, I think that's the key thing.
29:55
Um, we walk by faith, not by sight, and that means that we, we should always be in a place where I can't prove this 100%, but I believe this is God.
30:07
And when you take baby steps of obi- of obedience, if you're tripping up and, you know, it's not working, then maybe you come back and you reassess.
30:16
But, um, so many times God has asked us to step out on something that we can't 100% prove, whether it's, uh, his will for our lives or a little, uh, you know, a big thing that we're calling the church to in our leadership or, or whether it's something as simple as just responding to a little nudge to go and talk to someone.
30:36
Um, so we, we all know the basic biblical tests.
30:40
Is it truthful? Is it loving? Is it helpful? All, all these sorts of things.

10 MINS LATER

40:41
Okay.
