Paul Davis

Sorry.

This sounds like when a country, like a formerly country folk-type guy like Paul Davis starts getting, like, just funky enough to get on the boat.

Just funky.

Except Paul Davis finished the job, and this song does not.

That would've been a great-

It, it absolutely does not.

Just let me hold you by the firelight.

Do you know, originally, this was a sort of soft rock song by a guy called Paul Davis in 1982, but it's been totally souled up and beautifully so by Keith Eastman and JC Soul.

Cool Night doing the stuff in the UK Soul Charts and the Sweet Rhythms Chart at the moment.

Before this, of course, Donald Byrd, Loving You.

But it was in the early 80s.

Paul Davis.

65 Love Affair.

You don't remember that

one? I think I hear it in my head.

65 Love Affair? Who?

Paul Davis.

He had a handful of hits back then.
