Paul Davis

Uh, "I now live in Melbourne, however, back in the '90s I bumped into several '90s footballers while out and about in London.

Edgar Davids, Paul Davis, the late, great David Rocastle, to name but a few.

But the best and funniest one was when I met Shaka Hislop in Bond Street." [laughs] Let me set it up that-

Don't know why that's so funny

After making my Arsenal debut against Panathinaikos, I was able to find a level consistency and that gave me the opportunity to play regularly for Arsenal between 1981 and and 1983.

I was in an Arsenal team with experienced players and top professionals, David O'Leary, Kenny Sampson, Paul Davis, Graham Ricks, Frank Stapleton.

It was never that difficult for me to settle into the first team with players like them around me.

I could focus on my own game, playing well and being consistent.

That Arsenal line-up of that, sorry, going back to Arsenal.

So in 1984, you actually had Paul Davis, Tony Adams, John Lukic.

They were actually players starting then who ended up playing for that 1989 championship winning team.

And you had some great players.

He scored the goal.

You had Paul Davis, David O'Leary, Brian Talbot, Kenny Sampson, Alan Sunderland, Graham Ricks, Tony Woodcock.

That was your debut.

Yeah.
