Yeah, absolutely.

And I wouldn't be shocked to find out that Duchovny's portrayal of Mulder is kind of like Paul Darrow playing Avon.

Right.

In that I can sit there and watch Paul Darrow play Avon in Blake 7 and go, this is one of the most wonderful performances ever put down on television because he's just going for it.

And he's perfect for the role.

And I love every moment of it.

And I think this is, you'll see, Dave, even more so this series, Villa moves not quite front and centre.

That's definitely Paul Darrow's job.

But his profile increases again.

And I just think he does a really good job of holding those.

So I can see that at the time when you're watching it for the first time, whenever that was, that would have all been there in the background.

So I think that works really, really well.

I mean, the only real thing that I'm going to pick out from that as a negative is that and Paul Darrow said this himself.

Avon would not have given them permission at the end.

But there's a great looking documentary.

Uh, uh, first, like the, the basic you're making of season three is on there from Chris Chapman, who's also done a big, like 70 minute doc on Paul Darrow, who played Avon, uh, of course, and Colin Baker's in there all over the place.

Cause he's in one episode of like seven of this season.

yeah a great

episode for me um can't disagree with the actors paul darrow nails uh avon has made the character his own um since day one and this is just a wonderful episode for him jacqueline pierce though at serverland is is is is superb in this as well i think she she really uh like i said just she's blooming now in that character um so yeah those two um hard to pick hard to pick one but if you've got it if you've got to give someone an edge and i'd say paul darrow is avon in this episode

I mean, as Paul Darrow does in this episode, when he acts, his shuttle is... destroyed killed all his friends and now he wants some food and shelter i mean that is i mean it's also darrow's but it is clearly a character doing some acting isn't it yes yes which perry is to be fair however it's like fingernails down a blackboard
