Paul Cadmus

Okay, so this is more nerd, esoteric, gay nerd culture.

But Paul Cadmus is a very famous painter.

And he actually did some paintings that ended up being sort of like brochure art for American Ballet Theater back in the day.

And there's a really famous painting called Stone Blossom.

And it's of the three of them just laying in the grass outside of the estate.

And it's this sort of familiar, comfortable, homey, painting of these three lovers just hanging out on the lawn in front of the house.

And so I wanted to name the piece after that painting by Paul Cadmus, because it sort of represents the intimacy of their relationship and the dynamics between each person, who loves whom more, who wants to leave, who wants to stay.
