Patrick Weems

Um, and the book became this.

So alongside my own essay, I'm just deeply moved to have had writing by Sherilyn Ifill, Siddhartha, um, Mitter, and Vincent Cunningham, Secretary of the Smithsonian, Lonnie Bunch, Jenée Osterheldt, and Paul Farber, Patrick Weems, many of whom engage with this act of the imagination.

Sherilyn Ifill wrote about Emmett Till as if he was still alive and part of the Civil Rights Movement, you know.

So that's a way of creating a monument to his life anew.
