Patrick Overmyer

It's Reynolds, who I think is very well deserving.

And Patrick Overmyer from Houston also deserves some credit here.

Seven touchdowns leads the nation too.

But I think that's going to be the race between those two guys coming down the stretch of this season, who can get more of that receiving production, because usually I've gone over this before.

He finally got his home touchdown reception and caught that critically important third and long pass where... on the final drive of the game and incompletion would have meant punting the ball back to OSU with more than enough time for them to have tied the game or even won it.

It's clear that Oklahoma State defensively had better plan for Patrick Overmyer than K-State and some of your previous opponents did.

And that required other guys to step up and Walker certainly did that in spades.

I also want to shout out Kobe Young, who continues to be your large bills, only specialist receivers caught an absolute dime from Wigman for the Cougars final touchdown of the game.

Okay.

Patrick Overmyer, tight end, Houston Cougars.

What to know about this guy? You know he's caught more touchdowns than any other tight end in the FBS six.

Um-

Absolutely torched.

Gave up four touchdown catches to the tight end, Patrick Overmyer, who was the guy that caught the pass in Lubbock that led them to a two-point conversion that failed by about that, that much.

Uh, so they are vastly Uh, undervalued and underrated, and I, I think Willie Fritz is the best coach in America that no one knows a damn thing about.

Uh, he's 66 years old.

You know, Amari Thomas was leading receiver in the Big 12 last year, and he's off to a pretty good start.

But your leading receiver right now is Patrick Overmyer, who had four touchdowns and eight catches against K-State.

What is it about Patrick that maybe changes your offense?

Well, there's a lot of similarities between him and Tanner Kozel, who played for us last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars right now.

I heard all offseason that UT- that Houston got the better UTSA tight end.

Patrick Overmyer just caught four touchdown passes against Kansas State.

Um, Connor Wegman, been awesome.

Mekhi Hughes, been awesome.

Like they had, uh, Dan, Coach Dan Casey on Twitter, go follow him if you haven't.

But uh, he has these r- tight ends like just facing towards the sideline, like they're not even lined up like across from a guy, and then they have them pulling, they have guards pulling, they have, I don't know, just a whole weird-ass pattern[laughs] Blocking to help run the ball, and it worked extraordinarily well.

So tip hat to Tim Lester, needed a game like that out of-

Yeah, huge win.

Okay, that's your guy.

I'm gonna take Patrick Overmyer, tight end, Houston Cougars.

Eight catches, four touchdowns.

Eight catches for 83 yards, caught all of, uh, Connor Wegman's, uh, touchdowns.
