I just looked like a complete idiot skating around a morning skate.

And these veteran guys are looking at me like, who is this kid? luckily we had the best equipment guy in the game and he went over to the Buffalo side and got a smaller helmet from me and it worked out for the game but the morning skate I was already so nervous and I had to wear this stupid helmet and yeah that was kind of my welcome to the NHL and then you know the next game uh playing in joe lewis arena um i you know i grew up watching detroit that was my favorite team growing up um unfortunately there was a snowstorm so my dad couldn't make it out but um You know, I played pretty good the first game, and I got moved up and played with Kopi and Patrick O'Sullivan, and I scored my second shift, and that was probably the coolest thing for me.

I mean, Nick Ledstrom was on the ice, Brian Rafalski, Dotsuk, Zetterberg, like, the people that got a minus one on that were my favorite players growing up, so...

That was, and not to mention we lost, we ended up losing 8-1, I think, after that.

And I think what will be fascinating to see is it seems like the role has now been split into two guys.

I believe one of them is Patrick O'Sullivan, I think is his name, who's now the head of NHL player development versus they have someone for the Marlies.
