Patrick Durkin

So I'd like to see, even if it's not desirable to want to punt, I'd like to see what Alec Clark looks like.

You know, I wrote that I was impressed by the play of Patrick Durkin.

I didn't think that he was going to come out there and knock in a 53-yard kick.

Alec Clark is someone who has, you know, big shoes to follow.

So so, you know, another funny story.

We were interviewing Florida's kicker, a guy named Patrick Durkin, who's from Joliet.

And he was going on and on about talking about how he knew Rudy from the movie Rudy.

Apparently at a gym there or whatever.

Some good on defense, some bad on defense.

And then on special teams, you got a kicker and Patrick Durkin, who we'll hear from on Tuesday.

And you didn't see the punter at all.

That's right.

I'll have to slip them a $20 bill to do that next time.

All right, Zach, any other things stand out that you thought, okay, you know, I thought they could do a little bit better.

We haven't even mentioned Patrick Durkin, by the way.

Kicker had a great game.

And after John Summerall and the Gators ran out, one thing that I really noticed, too, was on kickoff.

First off, Patrick Durkin... great kickoffs uh overall just consistently got him into the back of the end zone and he's someone that he's not again known for a a big leg but he was someone that when he did kickoffs last year for Tulane they were there were very few even returned kickoffs I think he had like 80 kickoffs and there were like six returned.

And so he's done a great job of that his entire career to this point.

So we can give him credit there.

Brandon Robasco took a couple of the kickoffs later and, and did about as well.

He said they were exclusively touchbacks.

I mean, it was, it was two, but Patrick Durkin had one that was a, returned it was just it was really weird i wasn't sure what happened on it when we watched it happen live i was like that's that's an odd that looked like he like was trying to kind of squib it but also like squib it far it was interesting i i think johnson will mention that it was like a kick cover that they were trying um missed a tackle but it was clear that even when those kickoffs happened um it was called a touchback and the kick coverage team they kept running into the back of the end zone.

And then they kept trying to hype the crowd.

He knew that they obviously had to be SEC caliber.

And this Patrick Durkin might be one of the top talents on campus.

I'm trying to tell you guys.

Are we concerned when the Tulane transfer punter makes his first appearance in the swamp that he won't be ready?
