Please use discretion.

On June 4th, 2004, Patrick Brower got a call at the newspaper offices where he worked in Granby, Colorado.

Did you know there's something going on down in Western Granby? Um, there's guns going off and somebody's going crazy.

It was just a quick phone call, and, uh, when I heard that, I thought, "Wow, that, that sounds interesting."

Shortly after that first call, another call came in.

This one was from the, uh, sheriff's department telling us to, uh, evacuate and leave the building and go east because, uh, there was something dangerous going on, and they wanted to get everybody out of town.

At the time, Patrick Brower was the editor of the Sky-Hi News, located in a building on the main road that runs through Granby.

Mostly everyone decided to leave the office, but Patrick and another editor stayed.

This is how the challenge is too much.

You know, I

had Patrick Brower, who had done some inking for Marvel, like in the 2000, 2001.

But he's more importantly, he owns Challengers Comics and Conversation in Chicago, which is an amazing shop, which got me back into comics.

That's awesome.
