Pat Neal

program and

And some of those people, Pat Neal was one of them.

Some of those people supported me at State College of Florida.

Some of them supported me at Palmetto High, right? And I remember Commissioner Gallin when we needed to raise that money in order for us to get those kids to Kansas and things like that.

Again, it was all of this was nobody was saying fucking peep about against this bill in public.

But we got records here at Seeking Rent that showed that lobbyists for a couple of major developers in southwest Florida, Pat Neal, a former state senator and Republican mega donor who owns Neal Communities, and Carlos Baruf, another big Republican donor who owns Medallion Homes, were quietly lobbying to keep Senate Bill 180 in place behind the scenes.

And boy, boy, knowing that, doesn't it make it instructive to know that Pat Neal and Carlos Baruf had together also donated more than $650,000 combined to Byron Donalds.

That is $1.3 million from five developers that are all invested in either the Ag Enclave Law or Senate Bill 180 and who are going to have a super say, you know, with Byron Donalds in terms of whether or not anything gets done on that.

So when I say, you know, Blue Ribbon Projects or Agricultural Enclaves or...

I've talked about it before.

So, you know, he might be in a smaller category than someone like Pat Neal or Benderson or Rex Jensen.

There's a big four, Benderson, Neal, Carlos Baruf, Rex Jensen is with Schrader Manatee Ranch, Lakewood Ranch.

So those are really big Ford developers that put a lot into local races.
