And so those are usually our five-way vaccine that we're thinking about.

And then our bacterias are gonna be the Manheimia, Pasturella, and Histophilus.

The names don't matter so much as just sort of knowing where they come from in terms of the bottles you need to buy.

And the bacteria come in lots of different combinations.

Um, [laughs] but, uh, you know, cats can carry lots of different infectious diseases.

Um, a month ago, if it was related to a bite, um, is a little bit prolonged for something like Pasteurella, um, but certainly Bartonella would-- could potentially be consideration, but we're lacking some of the other features, um, there as well.

In Vietnam, he did have some exposure to fresh fruits and was not using any protection or, like, chemical prophylaxis against malaria, so that would be something in returning travel that I would definitely be considering.

You know, other things you could think about, um, would be Salmonella typhi and, you know, some of the viruses like dengue and HIV as well, and then other potential parasites.

They spend a lot of research money on stuff which is of dubious benefit.

The two things I would like is more research done on Pasteurella pneumonia in lambs, which kills a lot of lambs-

Mm-hmm

... and we still don't really understand the reasons why, what's a normal bacteria that lives in the back of a lamb's throat one day will wake up and kill it.

Yeah.

With Pasteurella?

With Pasteurella.

And if a patient comes in with a bone broke, broken by a dog bite, you are dealing with oral flora.

The protocol requires specific parenteral antibiotics to cover for bacteria like, uh, Pasteurella and Eikenella.
