Passaic

He loved every Jew, and he loved me.

And so I was planning to go to Passaic, a different yeshiva on the East Coast, after high school, when one day, my rebbi comes into the Beis Midrash.

He was powerful, his physique, his energy was intense.

He comes, sits down next to me, and he says, "Yoely!" He used to call me Yoely.

He says, "Rebbi, Yoely was in our yeshiva for four years.

I love him so much.

Rav Shmuel, he could see how scared I am, so he puts his hand over mine, and he goes like this, and he looks me in the eyes, and he says, "And Noah, what do you say?" I said, "Rav Yeshiva, I love my rebbe, but, uh, I gotta move on." So he said, "Where are you gonna learn better?" So I said to him, I said, "I think I'm gonna learn better in Passaic." He says, "You're gonna learn better in Passaic? Go." I won.

I look to my rebbe, and I could see there's a faint smile on his face, and we leave.

I remember I had, I had my, um, I had a studio in Passaic, New Jersey, and this is how, back to answer your question, this is how we got like this.
