Party line

... because there's very few of us, I, I don't know if, uh, 'cause Max, they lived out in, in, in the other side of the world from me, and his dad worked for AT&T, so I'm sure everything went great for them.

But we lived out in the country, and we had eight different people on our party line, and the party line meant that eight people all had the same phone line.

Uh, they figured out how to make our phone ring when it was our number.

Uh, another county down the road, they had to have their own ring, like two longs and a short or that kind of thing, and that would be for them.

[laughs]

"It's Doris.

They're focusing on Doris tonight." Um, you know, what you're describing, this party line situation, this driving, banging on doors, "Is the phone off the hook?"

Yeah.

Before you had all the internet stuff, it was called Party Line.

You call this number, and you'll get, and it'll be people from all over the world on the phone, and you, and if, and say if it was a girl you wanna talk to, be like, "Hey, go to line three." You hit line three, we can go and we can chat, and talk it up.

Y'all never heard of Party Lines?
