There was a bigger cause at play.

Did you hear about this Palestinian activist over in the UK who took a ladder, red spray paint, and he sprayed it all over the statue of Winston Churchill? He did it in Parliament Square.

He painted, Free Palestine, Stop the Genocide, and he called Churchill a Zionist war criminal.

When he was arrested, he didn't deny it.

And I used to have this daydream of like going on an Airbnb and staying somewhere, looking on someone's wall.

And they're just being a picture of me in like Parliament Square in the background.

Well, yeah, I went to Beijing probably like 2010.

It was before Tommy succeeded in the days when he sat for the family seat in Yorkshire, and that afternoon he was in a powerful bad temper.

Out of doors it was jolly spring weather, there was greenery in Parliament Square, and bits of gay colour, and a light wind was blowing up from the river.

Inside, a dull debate was winding on, and an advertising member had been trying to get up a row with the speaker.

We're very close to Parliament here.

One of them, the Just Stop Oil protest, they sat down in Parliament Square and held up all the traffic in an extremely inconveniencing way.

And as we always used to see, the police effectively formed a kind of honor guard for them.

So the police say we're not allowed to intervene, but they do intervene if somebody else tries to take the law into their hands and move the people.

I mean, you know-

Parliament Square's never recovered apparently.

Um, uh, I, I do also still wanna talk about, just, just finally, that Churchill statue in Parliament Square.

The man who vandalized it was found not guilty on Monday of criminal damage at Southwark Crown Court, which is just down the road from here.
