That album Parklife is a brilliant, brilliant album.

that song? You know that one? Really, really, really could happen.

I'm a very late Pulp fan.

You know, when Britpop was huge, I did listen to some of the more guitar-orientated stuff like, you know, Parklife and Blur and stuff like that.

Pulp, I always found a bit too camp or something.

I don't know.

But I also think that timing has something to do with this as well, because think about its year of release, 1994, especially in their native Britain.

It was all about Britpop and, you know, there was a lot of attention being paid to records like Blur's Parklife, Oasis' Definitely Maybe, Suede's Dogman Star, Pulp His and Hers, etc.

And that led to a lot of great music getting lost in the shuffle because, I mean, I will tell you, you can't have a Knees Up.

proper to hex by bark psychosis but i think it's one of those records that is going to continue to be elevated in esteem and find new audiences but they're estimating that sales for this album over the course of 30 years or about 40 000 albums which is no slouch but i mean it's certainly not setting the world on fire so yeah i'm going number four hex by bark psychosis wow

It was, like I say, 92.

So a couple of years before Definitely Maybe and Parklife kind of spawned the Britpop movement.

And so you hear a lot more kind of hard rock guitars taken from the late 80s bands like Guns N' Roses.

So it differs from some of their later output in that regard, but it's still very definitely the Mannix.

Because I remember playing it quite a lot when I worked in the pub.

and I remember seeing the album and thinking oh maybe it's I didn't realise it was a new album immediately I thought maybe it was an old Blur album because it was just called Blur and you know the bands you know they tend to go a bit eponymous for their first album don't they rather than later that would be what Pleasure, Modern Life, Park Life their fifth album And it's just...

Because I really like Modern Life is Rubbish.

I don't like it as much as I like Park Life, but there's a few songs on it that I really, really like.
