This has now since been in the Variety, so it's not a secret.

I mean, you know, I've seen somebody comment that actually, to you, possession, that Indian Avaret gives a similar performance to Isabella Jani in Possession from the early 80s, which obviously is about to be remade.

It's being remade as we speak by Parker Finn.

No! with Margaret Qualley who is absolutely a great actor and I'm fascinated by that one Mary we'll do that next year Hugh I think we have to do that one because I think I'm very curious because that original is absolutely brilliant so good good luck doing a better one but But my point is that I think Barker's taken a lot of these preconceptions and these tropes and he's mixing it up and he's presenting something where you think you know where your sympathies are, but it's way more complicated than that.

And while on the one hand, you can completely accept Nikki ostensibly as this monstrous, almost supernatural being.

Let's consider the matches that were not.

So moving on from that, as I touched upon earlier, is that they are remaking Possession.

In June, it was announced that the Smile director, Finn Parker, would be directing the remake of Possession, starring Margaret Qualley as Anna and Callum Turner as Mark.

And I actually love those actors, so part of me is very intrigued and curious to see what their interpretation is going to be.

And then Robert Pattinson, who loves... creepy things he loves like sure does the art house yeah he really uh mickey 17 was incredible i think he's always been into the art house indie film uh i love this the stage

It's giving, like, gloom and doom apocalypse dystopia, and we're here for it, but it's not Summer Blockbuster.

No, it's really not.

But on that note, I am excited to see what Finn Parker does.

I also really love Margaret Qualley.

And so how does that work when you're dealing with the smile demon, right? And it was just a lot of cool scenes when she freaked out at the award ceremony and you've got Ray Nicholson coming up and oh my gosh, it was some great scenes in this film, the third act.

it got me i was like what what's going on like this this this franchise you know now now it's you know becoming a franchise it's there's a lot of great energy in it and the creativity parker finn um i think he nailed it with this this film just like he did with the first film but i i do like smile 2 a bit more than the original coming in at number six This is another controversial one.

I don't know how people are going to feel about this, but I'm going to go with Pearl.
