Paris Junior College

And and there was a great tweet from.

our friend Mateo number one PJC fan where he did the the oh you're so sweet hello human resources and the SE it was like we beat up on each other in the middle of the season and it's an SEC logo and it's like oh you're so sweet here's ESPN and all the big talking heads being like guys doesn't this just show what a gauntlet this freaking conference is all these teams are losing to each other And then in the Pac-12 days when we were doing that and the, you know, formerly greatest conference in all the land, it was the one excuse as to why the Pac-12 could never get a team in the playoff.

Well, I mean, Oregon lost in their final game of the season to Washington.

And it's just, I mean, how could you lose to Oregon? the top 15 team in Washington and make the playoff.

So planning at the side of the year to be sort of even each week has worked out.

But if we go back to round one... where I started with Skylar Mays and Deshaun Schwartz over PJC and Krebs, and it cost me 116 points or something stupid.

If you do the math, I would be ranked 49th right now if I had gone with what I originally had before I changed it on the day before, which is ridiculous.

I could be in the top 50 right now.

Howdy.

And we have a special guest, Sebastian Barron from Paris Junior College.

Hello, Sebastian.

Hello.

Yeah, that

would have been really long.

So, Sebastian Barron, Vice President of Technology Services at Paris Junior College.

Yes.

Next week, we're going to have a guest.

Sebastian Barron from Paris JC will be on the podcast talking about everything higher ed and nerding out with us a little bit.

Probably get into some vibe coding stuff, maybe.

Cool.

And we kept in touch, but it was just kind of a weird deal.

I'm actually making a recruiting trip out to Paris Junior College to recruit a kid, Shaquille O'Fritz.

And I just happened to check email and she's like, hey, congrats, call me.

And she's going to be in Dallas.

And normally, when he's right, you'll see a lot of pop-ups, strikeouts, and certainly an awful lot of ground balls.

Now, as pointed out a little earlier, he has pitched 12 no-hitters in high school, and he attended, uh, Paris Junior College in Paris, Texas, and Texarkana Junior College.

This is his ninth pro season.

Began with the Boston Red Sox organization.

In the meantime, through the years, he used to fly in and visit, and he's the one who really taught me how to fly.

And I hadn't really thought about a career in aviation until I was getting ready to graduate from a little junior college here, now Paris Junior College.

It was a two-year college.

And this recruiter from Dallas came over, Naval aviator, and said, "Any of you boys who have two years of college who'd like to be an aviation cadet should come see." So I thought, "Hmm, that sounds good." I was about to get drafted if I didn't.

You know, their big three right now, Meninga, Jackson and Vasiljevic, were impressive.

And it was more about how PJC controlled that game, Meninga's game, the interior force, and then DJ punished the help from the outside.

So that was an impressive one.

And the championship offense of the Sydney Kings, But I also love the defense more.
