The main objectives of the PMRC were to make the record labels put parental advisory labels on anything that the PMRC deemed offensive to have those records sold from behind the counter or worse, to not have them sold at all as Walmart eventually did.

to make television stations not play the music videos from those songs, and to pressure record labels to, quote, reassess the contracts of musicians who performed violently or sexually in concert, end quote.

And it made him not as crazy as Lenny Bruce, but similarly crazy.

It made it so that all of a sudden, all he can see is all the ways he's been wronged by things like the PMRC, including Tipper Gore, probably the moral majority as well.

Like anybody whose game was getting people not to buy his records, suddenly he's on a crusade against those people.

And I think that's a very righteous crusade.
