And I think Ocon or somebody was coming in full pelt and the race hadn't finished yet.

And already people were coming, photographers were all coming in to get the Parc Fermé shot.

But people, was that then or was it during the race? I can't remember now.

I don't know, but

This race for me, talking of Baku moments actually, was when I used to talk to the driver of the day.

Oh, on the radio? Yes, and it was Sebastian Vettel and he'd pulled into Parc Fermé and I was chatting to him and he was like, how did you get my number? And I was like, well...

Actually, one last thing.

You remember that Motu celebration a few years ago with the pizza delivery? And it was the fact it wasn't even just riding around as a pizza delivery.

It was the offering a pizza to the rider he'd beaten in Parc Fermé, which...

And even in Moto3, on that warm-up session in Portugal before he won the championship, where he turned around and waved at Dennis Foggy, I think it was at the time.

I'm not saying that he's more focused on showmanship than results as such, but he knows how to play the crowd.

is that the excitement of qualifying is devalued.

I know now there's no more Parc Fermé, so they can get in there and they can change stuff and it's cool.

But it's not quite the giveaway that it used to be.

It took a long time for that rule to come in.

That deserves an investigation.

Because at that point, you're in Park Fermé rules.

Because, of course, there's the whole sort of, you know, the old cheating theory where, you know, days gone by, race drivers, they would embrace the mechanics.

But, you know, in the embrace, they would be handed a couple of spatters, a couple of, you know, lead weights as well to add a couple of kilos into their weigh-in.

But 99% of the time, I've gone out and said, I need some water, please.

Yeah, but they would have already downed that once he's pulled into Parc Fermé.

They already downed their bottle of water and then he's gone into the cool down room and he fancied it.

He fancied a

Uh, it's a really special atmosphere building.

Clearly the guys, um, celebrated big style in Parc Ferme, but to get this close is very cool, so hopefully the riders will be coming out onto the podium very shortly.

I think there's gonna be a big cheer in a second from all of these guys in front of me.

They're all waiting for him.

But was there any hints? Was there any tips? Anything shared? Yeah.

Yeah, I suppose in Parc Fermé on Sunday morning, we were chatting and we were just sussing to see what tyres and stuff they were thinking of.

And he was giving out, he was saying, it's not what you want when you have a, what was it, a 15 or a 20 second lead in the rally.

And I said to him, it's exactly what you want when you're 15 seconds behind.
