Paranormal Activity 3 is also three for three with the requisite found footage, some swinging light fixtures, and a little demon crawl space in the girls' room.

Paranormal Activity 4 is the first true sequel to the first film, picking up after the end of Paranormal Activity 2.

The ghost action shifts to Henderson, Nevada, five years after the original movie, and mostly follows a new family who takes in an isolated neighborhood kid named Robbie.

Soon after, the titular paranormal activity begins to happen and the family's daughter decides to record everything via webcam.

The progressing mythology doesn't really do much for me and I think the ending of the movie is pretty bad.

This to me marks the real transition of the Paranormal Activity series from a creative franchise with a hook to just another horror franchise.

It doesn't have a whole lot to offer, so it gets marked down yet another level, down to a D. Paranormal Activity 4 features not just a spooky light fixture, but a potentially killer light fixture, as well as a creepy garage that's converted into a Final Destination style death trap, and of course, more found footage delivering the trifecta.

Having mined all they could from the Katie storyline, mostly, Paranormal Activity branched out to other ghost-based narratives with Paranormal Activity The Marked Ones, which follows a high school kid named Jesse who shows signs of possession after breaking into the murder scene of the witch who lives downstairs.

And we saw this, and I don't know if you've seen this movie, Ray, but Paranormal Activity 4.

I have seen one, but haven't seen the other.

So I'd seen the marked ones before, remembered very little about it, but kind of how in Paranormal Activity 4, I remembered very specific moments rather than the overall plot.

That's how I felt about the marked ones, but to sort of a less... lesser degree because i remembered even less about the marked ones but the one thing that stood out my mind was brother gets superpowers kind of like that's the part of it that i kind of recalled is that in a way my man's becomes a superhero uh for a hot minute and then ghost dimension I don't...

I didn't know her at all.

we totally love to hear that and it's it is a feeling that i have had since seeing this originally which i think i saw this in theaters um back when we were in school um but one a feeling that has been with me for a long time is i genuinely think The marked ones is a bit of a hidden gem in this franchise because I can fully understand after the fourth film People fizzling out on this franchise and not really checking in for any more.

Entries into it and I couldn't really blame them for that and I remember even myself going into the marked ones being unsure of what we were going to do because i do remember the trailer and i remember this like superhero aspect of it being kind of weird and foreign obviously we have to take some big swings after paranormal activity 4 to try something new And I just didn't know if this whole person gets ghost powers now was the right direction.

But after actually watching the movie and seeing all this stuff within context, I'm actually very glad that we took such big swings with this one.

Paranormal Activity 4 made a bud- made $150 million off a budget of $5 million.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
