Paralympics Australia

I did really, really well, probably because there weren't that many of us that were para athletes.

And when I came back, the lady that I'd been traveling with, unbeknownst to me, had sent an email to Paralympics Australia saying, oh, this woman did really well at the Masters Games as a para swimmer.

And master's swimming starts at 25.

So I think Paralympics Australia thought I was 25 when in fact I was 44.

But I got an email asking me to come to a talent search day.

And I emailed the gentleman back and I said, talent search days are usually for kids or into early 20s, aren't they? And you have no idea how old I am.

What's on your bucket list? So in 2024, I had the great privilege with Nine of hosting the Paralympics in Paris with Dylan Alcott by my side.

And working with Kurt Fearnley and Annabelle Williams and all these incredible athletes, amazing people with incredible stories and being at the hub with Paralympics Australia and meeting all the Paralympians.

And it rates as not just a career highlight, but a life highlight.

It was one of the most, it's a very hard thing to describe, but one of the most powerful things I've ever been a part of in my life.
