Parable of the Lost Coin

The entire life we spend on earth, they are searching for us always.

However, the parable begins with the lost sheep, then it goes to the lost coin, then it goes to the lost son.

When it came to the lost sheep, who searched for the lost sheep? The good shepherd.

Who is the good shepherd? The son of the living God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

So when we put on the temple, the Holy Spirit dwelled in us.

Now we are living in the time of the Holy Spirit.

So the women searched for the lost coin in the house, not in the desert.

And the house is the church.

chooses a sheep that's gone astray versus Luke that chooses one that's lost.

In other words, like, one of the commentaries I was looking at talked about l- the, the sheep in this triplicate of parables b- of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the son, the sheep is like, it's like a bewilder- a sin of bewilderment almost.

Like- Mm ... what's going on? It's not this conscious, like, screw God, I'm out of the flock.

It's, it's, it's more of a, it's a true lostness, and so- Mm-hmm ... um, there's just, like, a generosity of spirit I think with that word that Luke is showing kind of the outsiders that Jesus has been inviting in in this ever-widening circle of who's in and who's out in the Bible, I think.

we're sitting down to eat together, we're sharing a meal together, so significant.

Mm-hmm.

And so, um, this whole section in Luke 15, these three stories that Luke tells about the lost sheep, the lost coin, and then the lost son are, are meant to be read together.

Mm-hmm.

Jesus has told about the lost sheep.

He's told about the lost coin.

Now He tells about the lost sons.

Let's look at it.

Praise the name of the Lord.

In Luke chapter 15, I believe Jesus gave, among the many parables that He gave, He gave one that is called the Parable of the Lost Coin.

And in that parable He said a woman had 10 coins representing treasures and then that for whatever reason, one of the coin was missing.
