no i think this is such a fucking punt for team liquid facing paper x at any point Be thankful you're it's game one where like they could still be a bit finicky, right? Yeah, true and then bounce back like this is perfect for liquid same thing for tyloo You don't want to g2 that actually know who they are, you know, remember who you are trent Remember half this team you can if you're up against harvard, maybe don't play postman off-site Will they remember the whole thing? um both these teams I feel lucked out, but I also don't think that paper x and g2 like fully unforked themselves like they still have some hard matchups to face up against like g2 against the home team the home team that's getting as many cheers almost as edg now which like hasn't happened in a very long time in home turf china and then paper x against the liquid who are the they're known for the one two right like they they might not be able to make it out of the group but they could give you an early loss that might make you have a horrible matchup against tyloo or g2 after who are learning off a loss like it's uh i think it's respectable both ways

I mean, I'm slightly more convinced.

i think this is where not watching pacific is going to be beneficial because if there's ever a team that you shouldn't worry about it's it's paper rex i know that normally they have had a better run of form as they head into a tournament but i really don't think that's a requirement so much as a natural consequence of being a good team is that you happen to be very good regionally as well as internationally Like if you are the best team of all time, of course you're not normally looking good coming into the event because you're normally looking good just in general.

But I don't think it necessarily tracks that one is required to have the other.

And I think it's much easier to sit here and say, they're literally the greatest squad of all time, just wait and see, maybe they'll do something amazing, than, no, this squad is definitely chalked because they can't pick it up when they've already qualified.

Run us through the seed three theory.

So the point of seed three theory is that the third seed is the team who has done the best on champ points but didn't make the grand final.

However, as we know, a lot of teams have already qualified on champ points like Paper Rex, for instance.

And so, you know, the games don't matter as much, you know, they don't do as well.

Yeah.

I think my concerns for Paper Rex and it's going to bleed into the next match as well is that it feels like that coordination and some of that explosiveness that they used to have is just not there anymore.

Like it doesn't feel like they're in sync with like teeing each other up for big moments and like.

Sometimes, yeah, Jing looks okay on Wei Lei, but he might not look good on other agents that aren't Raze.

into champs like if all of these teams were in a grand final

with the performances that we've seen it's paper x yep is that what i expect it to be once they get the champs no Because I think Paper Rex will be able to lock in and they're going to rise to the occasion and they will float up those standings.

Will they make it the first? Also no.

No, but Shyo, you have to think.

When you're watching Champs, Paper Rex being there, even if they're struggling, or Vitality being there, even if they're struggling, or even G2 being there, even if they're struggling, you know that they can be good, right? Which is better than going, oh well, I don't know.

You know, a, a random team who got a little bit of h- GiantX from last year happened to squeak into second in EMEA and they're going.

You know? And, and we know that they're not gonna do anything.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Is what you call final top.

No, but like you're, like you're saying that, "Oh, Paper Rex are playing for nothing." But in a champ point system that like that's just how it's gonna work.

But, uh, we're gonna dive into other teams, and we're gonna start with a team who is maybe worryingly turning it back on, KRX, because they were terrible.

They inted their entire stage.

It's been an easy one this one, yeah.

I am interested though, for those of you who don't know, Nongshim play Paper Rex.

So I'll be interested to see where our pickings are.

But actually there are a lot of returning faces and a lot of big good storylines still to follow.

Paper Rex, they are gonna be back.

They are always gonna be a sick team to watch, and everyone is a fan of them.
