Paolo Strippoli

So The Spiral is my, I want to say it's my favorite, perhaps, but between The Cycle and The Spiral, it's kind of between those two, but they're both very different.

The Spiral is by Paolo Strippoli, who has done, last year, one of my favorite movies, The Holy Boy, which is coming out, I believe, to Shudder sometime soon.

I know I got picked up by them.

And he also did a very interesting movie for Netflix called, he was the writer of a classic horror story, I think it was called.

Um, another really cool thing about the festival is that you get to see filmmakers return with their projects, um, after, you know, having come in prior years.

And last year we had, um, Paolo Strippoli in with his film called The Holy Boy, which was in the After Dark section.

And I got to take him to Reckless Records downtown.

you know it was like not even it doesn't even have to be a long movie i'm still like how many are there the worst of them and a oh this is a Shakespeare play like how long is this going to be and so and this one is broken up and I think that the the sections it's broken up to make a lot of sense and it's really well paced oh absolutely so by the time you get to the second one I'm like okay like I see why we did this and why because that is my initial thought is to bristle at that and be like oh that just that makes me so aware that I'm watching a movie and how long it is

I think it's because there's been a number of directors or movies that have abused that
