But I think you can do both.

You can make the gospel, like, understandable, like, relatable, attractive, and even fun without diluting it.

I mean, you're not gonna-

... somebody's telling you a story, it's kind of, like, it gives me an opportunity to, I feel, like, invited into that.

It gives me a chance to reflect on what is being said and, like, just thinking as you read the parables, then you're thinking, "Okay, how do I apply this to my life? What is the spiritual truth that, that God is teaching me here?" And so I think it just gives an opportunity-

... that also speaks about, you know, the fear that men have, you know, because sometimes we wanna seem, like, very independent, and, "I can do my own thing and I don't need anybody," but there's a fear inside of you.

Like, there's something bigger than yourself that you're, there's something you need protection from.

Like, there's this fear, and I think that's the men doing, like, "Let me cover all my bas- bases."

Yeah.

But, like, you know, it, it, it takes a lot of strength and spiritual maturity because I think, I love it as Apostle Paul, like, he told the truth, he answered questions, and then he left.

He didn't engage in the controversy.

He didn't fall into the trap of all the people that were there.

... from the body, just like Josh was saying.

And so, um, so it's just like you have to remember you're not fighti- fighting against flesh and blood.

You know, it's the principalities.

And, um, and Satan, he wants to steal, kill, and destroy.

And so, um, if he can just keep you thinking about that situation and, and you not dealing with it, he's going to, because it isolates you and keeps you from health and healing.

Mm-hmm.

Father, thank you, um, just so much for this time and, and for your word, and I just, um, praise you for just guiding us and leading us through your words, Father.

[laughs]And if you're referring to that cozy church style of being in small groups of believers, sitting together and having community, well, I don't know how it is on the English side, but in our Español groups, we have tamales, pupusas, taquitos, pozole every Sunday, okay? We may not do everything right, but food and fellowship, that one we do very well, okay? On the English side, you may only have donuts, but we have community available for you.

That's what I mean.

[laughs] Our groups are better than yours, but anyway, okay.

[laughs] If we understand this, it will help us to set our expectations correctly, and it will help us understand that the church will never be perfect because you and I are part of it.

Now, I'm not saying this to adopt a mediocre mentality that, oh, well, we're all humans.

And she was very controlling.

She was very manipulative of her husband.

She promoted idolatry, and that idolatry had, like, or involved witchcraft, sexual sin as part of the worship rituals, so we associate Jezebel with controlling, manipulation, sexual sin.

So when we say now, this is a term that we use, when we use the term of Jezebel spirit, uh, I think personally, um, women, we all tend to struggle with this, or we all tend to, like, be tempted in this, because as women, we tend to try to control our children.
