Pambula

Well, following inquiries, 'cause they never give up, the police, they never give up.

At, uh, eight twenty yesterday morning, uh, two search warrants at a home at Wyndham and one in, uh, a business in South Pambula and a sil- uh, Holden SUV believed to be associated with the investigation into the road rage and the death of the seventy-three-year-old.

A forty-one-year-old woman was, uh, arrested and taken to Bega Police Station and charged with manslaughter, and, uh, she'll be appearing in the Bail Division Courts, uh, tomo- uh, today, uh, this morning.

So, as I say, uh, they never give up, the coppers.

But you can go, "Hey, can you order me in two dozen unshucked things?" And ask where they get them from.

They'll usually say Pambula, Merimbula, stuff like that 'cause that is our area in definitely New South Wales, maybe in Australia, where it's like the crème de la crème.

And so you go...

And you'll pay the same price, if not cheaper.

Um, and I went up there to see them.

I had a little Roddy bitch at the name, at the time named Tia, this top lovely little dog we got from down at Pambula.

And, um, I drove up there and I said to this Glennis, look, I don't want to insult you.

I sound like I'm being really rude, but your dogs are all very flighty.

But I wanted to quickly tell you this story.

There's a place down at Marimbula, Pambula.

I'm not sure whether it's still called Wheeler's Oyster Barn, but very early in my tenure at Sydney Weekender, we went down there.

It was just like a bit of an old shack and bags, bags of oysters out the back, the best oysters, Sydney Rock oysters, not Pacific ones, but Sydney Rock, which are our native oyster.

And there was Kilpatrick, fresh, some with different spices and sauces on them.

They looked around.

When I did this piece to camera, make sure you come down to Wheeler's Oyster Barn down here at Pambula and Marimbula.

Absolutely sensational.

So the weather's normally pretty good.

But also recently in the last couple years we've been going away to Pambula, which we're about to go to Pambula in a couple days.

Again, by the time this comes out, I'll probably be in Pambula.

But last few years we've been going to Pambula, and it's been really special.

You know, like I grew up going to Pambula and along that east coast with my family, and now however many years later, we're doing it as a family again.

But this time we've got kids, and my mum and dad have their grandkids around, and it's just gonna be special.

This will be the first year where it'll be all of us children and mum and dad.

My other sister, Amanda, and her husband's gonna come with their two girls, plus mum and dad.

And it really focused on storytelling, which I love, even though sometimes I ramble, as you can tell.

Yeah, and then last Saturday I played at Rainbow Wave Festival, which is down in Pambula.

Okay.

And that's a LGBTQIA plus youth festival, so I felt really lucky to be a part of that.

So we just went around.

We went around and made Marimbula, Pambula, Eden, Bermagui, Tathra.

Tathra.
