Heart disease risk increases significantly after perimenopause.

Um, I, estrogen B the way it affects the like electro active electrical activity of the heart as well, which is why many of us do feel heart palpitations in perimenopause.

So if you have been, that was something that was so scary for me and it's scary for a lot of women.

to have heart palpitations kicked me into, I was already having experiencing low progesterone, which we identified last episode.

Progesterone is kind of the calming anti-stress, kind of like a natural sedative, right? In our body.

And when we don't have progesterone and so we're not calm and We're more prone to anxiety.

I'm like, that was that note.

But when we're more prone to anxiety, and then we also have lower levels of estrogen, which again, estrogen helps support the heart.

is to look at the system as one interconnected system instead of dissecting it to different pieces and wanting to look at it as individual parts.

So what we and what I was able to tap into was actually through my own healing journey, that this was about 13 years ago that doctors gave me two weeks to live because I had severe heart palpitations.

And they wanted to put a pacemaker for me because that's the only way that they understood that they could bring that balance and coherence to my heart.

But I had, I wanted to, you know, do a lot of research.

So I had, I mean, I guess I'll share my interesting health event.

Um, I have had, I had an interesting health event earlier, earlier in the month where I I was taking a series of supplements and I just started having like really awful, awful heart palpitations.

I've dealt with something similar in the past.

And I was at that time I had been doing parasite cleanse.

This time I was not doing any intentional parasite cleanse, but I was taking some iodine and some other things that I believe was probably killing off parasites.

So And I started dealing with some like high blood pressure, like ringing in my ears, heart palpitations, pounding heart.

Like basically I was feeling awful and I was like, what is happening to me? I don't even understand.

So I think I overdosed a little iodine and I think I was having major parasite die off unintentionally again.
