And then, like, is it a baby horse? Is it a full-grown horse at this point?

She's a grade mare, seven years old, by the way, this is a Palomino mare tied to a tree.

She's a grade mare, seven years old, 14, two to 15, two hands tall.

Let's revisit that sentence for a second.

And there's no, you know, color too is another thing.

You know, like you don't see a Palomino thoroughbred.

That's not a thing.

You know, Mustangs come in every imaginable color and then some.

'Cause each HMA is very different and produces very different types of horses.

Like in Oregon, we have 18 herds, and you know, the South Steens are all Pintos, and the Warm Springs are Appaloosas, and the Kaigas are all Greys and Duns, and Palomino Butte is Palominos.

And it's the most extraordinarily magical thing to...

You know, in Wyoming, the horses are hugely, they're bred with draft horses back in the day, so they're huge and big-boned and stocky.

So that horse was a perfect size for him.

Then my horse, JJ, a Quarter Paint, and then I had a Palomino, which was a, another Quarter Horse, um, that was just an extra horse we had.

So we were in the road, and we stopped, and he's showing me the fence line, and I'm looking at the fence line, you know.

When we measure things, looking at the fence line, we'll, we'll use our hands a lot, you know, like this, like to measure something up in the, the road.

um but yeah he i mean he was super good you could tell he was very green um you know he just he didn't know a lot of the the things like leg pressure and and all that um but i took it as a green horse thing you know a lot of horses don't get that right away and he seemed level-headed if anything i was worried that he would be uh a little dull i was like he i don't know he just doesn't have a a big personality and I like a horse with more personality and it was wrong but once he got home then I was like oh he's got a big personality once he started opening up but you know they just sometimes in different situations they're just more shut down and yeah it was it was kind of just a weird start though because we went to go pick him up And they sent his Coggins and they were wrong.

So it said he was a 16-year-old Palomino quarter horse.

And it had his pictures.

And he is a light flaxen chestnut.

So I was at the same trainer her mother was at, Michelle McCarthy Warder, before she turned professional.

We both showed Palomino's by a stand-in named Mito Sierra.

So then Michelle went professional.

Her daughter Morgan started showing the horse.
