This walking tour leads you through the city's old heart, from its great waterfront monuments into its quieter medieval lanes and back toward the old royal quarter.

Your tour begins at the Catedral Basílica de Santa María de Mallorca, better known as La Seu, Palma's great Gothic landmark above the bay.

You'll explore the cathedral's highlights from its beautiful sculptural entrance known as Portal del Mirador to the striking modern chapel of St. Peter inside.

After you visit the cathedral, the route continues through Parc de la Mar, the Arab Baths, San Francesc, Plaça de Cort, and Sa Lloieta before ending at the royal palace of La Almudaina.

Along the way, you'll see how Palma was shaped by Islamic rule, Christian conquest, trade, religion, and civic life.

You'll pass grand Gothic stonework, shaded squares, gardens, and traces of the city that stood here before the cathedral ruled the skyline.

And not only the seafood, which, I mean, being surrounded by water, I mean, that's like I said earlier, it's a religion.

There is many, many other things because the orography of the island, especially the big one, which is where the capital city is, Of that region of Spain, which is Palma de Mallorca, the orography is very abrupt.

It has a lot of mountains, a lot of valleys, and also the coastline.

So that means that it has a lot of vegetation as well, and obviously farming, isn't it? Yes, you are right.
