Yeah, that's important.

I mean, the knowledge transfer, we saw that at PalmTran, Christian, where someone leaves, you know, they were working at the agency for a decade, you know, two decades more and they're gone and all that knowledge goes with them.

yeah yeah it's true in a lot of cases

there's only one person that that that uh handles a specific responsibility or role so some agencies might have like this one grant coordinator that knows how to apply for the grants you know submit all the compliance documentation and then for whatever reason that person leaves and then the next person comes in is like So how do we report this to the FDA? And then now you have to go through that learning pain, that learning curve.

I was put on a career path, I think to be a county administrator or something like that.

But what happened is I got promoted to be the deputy director of Palm Tran, uh the transit system in the county and i didn't have one day of transit experience in my in my resume but i was a problem solver and that really started everything as soon as i got into transit it was a great service for the community i understood about the access to opportunity that it was giving people and then all of the other things that i had to learn about vehicle maintenance, scheduling, grant writing, all of that just makes sense for me.

And that really started my career.

And since that time, I've been in four different transit systems and I'm still learning every day.

... um, on, on preserving public transit and advancing pu- public transportation and understanding its role when, when it comes to the entire, uh, transportation network, uh, in their given community.

And you know, I just wanted to make a comment, like, you know, I work for Palm Tran in Palm Beach County, and, and I researched the history when we came to be.

Um, you know, for the most part, it was a private operation, like you said.

Yeah.

You know, out of a- all the, the cases there, uh, from those different communities, I, I think the, the two that are the most interesting are Detroit and Chicago, um, because I could almost see...

I, I can see or understand the, the extremes of, uh, y- you know, we're, we're just going to let this private network operate, and we don't care.

We're, we're going to just shrug our shoulders at it, like, you know, Christian was explaining with, with Palm Tran, and I'm, I'm sure many communities across the country.

And then I, I can see the, the other extreme with, uh, San Francisco and with Boston.
