Palatine Light

You'd still see smoke, but there was just nothing, so pretty creepy.

Yeah, and you can go back and listen to some of our other, o- one of our, our first Block Island episode to hear the story of the Palatine Light.

But the basic history of that was it was a, a ship, the Princess Augustus, I believe, in the 1700s that they believe might have been lured by pirate activity to the island, burned, and then plundered essentially.

And there's been sightings of this ship, documented sightings, and I said some of that, and I go through some of them in the original Block Island episode, uh, written down from the 1800s.

And as you can see, this is still being seen to this day.

This is another documented case of seeing the Palatine Light, and I believe it's seen more so in December through, like, February, but it has been seen all throughout history.

Uh, generally those are the months that people see it more, though.
