Pai Mei

We get the backstory.

We start getting backstory about like Pai Mei and the truth about what happened.

The final confrontation with Bill, which is by the way, not a big fight, violent scene.

It's just conversation.

But I will say the second volume, I've always loved a little bit more than the first volume.

One, because of the, and I hope I'm not being offensive by saying this, but just the storyline, the Asian flair of it, the training sequences, and the Pai Mei.

Of course, David Carradine's in it way more.

You get to see Bill throughout the film.

And I'm like, okay, but just watch this.

And then it jumps into the Pai Mei scene.

And then she trains and everything like that.

And then, you know, Pai Mei teaches her to do that three-inch punch through the thing.

Because I wanted to show my girls that you can persevere.

Even in the worst, darkest place, you persevere out of it.

like Pepper and June were like, very good.

Cause I was looking at them.

but it makes for a good little plot.

Of course, we don't get to see her bust through it yet, because now we go over to Pai Mei, which is the motherfucking shit.

This guy is the shit.

I fucking love Pai Mei.

So, Pi May, Evan, is played by Gordon Liu, who's actually in the first film.

He's one of the crazy 88 gag members, the guy who wears the mask that just covers his kind of eyes.

Um...

And so we have got the fight that goes on between Elle and the bride, or Beatrix now is what we'll call her for the rest of this movie.

But, um, Lo-, uh, Lo Lieh, uh, I don't know if he studied martial arts.

He's, uh- Let's see, you know, King Boxer, Pai Mei and Executioners from Shaolin and Clan of the White Lotus, neither movie which I really love.

Uh, General, uh, Tien Ta from 36 Chamber of Shaolin.

I'm trying to see if he studied anything.

Yeah

... like, direct pull, there's entire characters that he pulled, like Pai Mei is a character from an old-

Mm-hmm

... '70s, uh, Hong Kong, uh, kung fu movie.
