Downtown temperatures in the low 60s and the North Bay seeing that cloud cover.

Temperatures also in the mid to low 60s for the high tomorrow.

The Marine Mammal Center says this humpback whale's body was first spotted floating a mile offshore from Maury Point.

Eventually, it landed near the Pacifica Pier yesterday.

Crews have been unable to retrieve the whale due to high tide and its position.

Its cause of death is not known.

Supporters of the regulations plan a rally outside the California Public Utilities Commission's office before the vote this morning.

People in Pacifica prepare those noise cancelling headphones because you could start to hear loud construction noises and feel vibrations starting today.

City leaders say crews will begin pile driving operations as part of the emergency effort to stabilize the damaged pier.

Massive cracks were discovered in the structure back in June, forcing the city to close the site and demolish the very popular Chit Chat Cafe.

And the first of two big piles were brought in by flatbed truck today to where crews are beginning to shore up the crumbling Pacifica Pier.

This isn't a fix.

This is just to keep it from collapsing more.

Pacifica, it

was this huge national news story.

We were right on the cliffs, and it had to get red-tagged, and everyone had to get out immediately, basically.

It's a very noteworthy project for those of you that believe in the environment and sharks and the health of all that.

The Great White Shark Project here in California actually had their annual meeting in Pacifica this week or Half Moon Bay this week.

So check them out.
