Here's an interesting thing about Stoneground.

Eventually their lead singer left and the remaining guys became Pablo Cruz.

I actually got to direct lights on that one.

Um, I directed and designed lights for Pablo Cruise when I was with the company LTD, um, uh, push boxes for Kansas.

Of course I did-- Santana is the band that I designed lights with more than anybody else.

They were like my family band.

Somewhere along the way, I started to build this Amazon playlist.

You know those names, right? And whether Karen likes it or not, there's quite a bit of Steely Dan in there.

I, I'm not some huge Steely Dan fan, but I do like them.

You know, so thank you to my mom for all of that.

But I'm talking about Rock Island out at Cal Expo, where if you went out to the fair and you wanted to go see a concert, you could see Edgar Winter and Pablo Cruz, which was fantastic.

I'm talking about the ones where you now have your own money and you're paying for your ticket specifically for that group, right? And like I said on my show tonight, for me, that group, 50-year anniversary is tomorrow.

Oh, my God, man.

But she was definitely like outsider, you know.

Most of the regular kids, you know, were like listening to the Osmonds or Pablo Cruz or if they were really felt a little edgy, maybe Led Zepp or probably more likely Foghead or something like that.

But if you liked Bowie, you were along with the people that liked Zappa or whatever, you know, you were like a freak.

So it's interesting how that now, of course, he's, you know, everybody, you know, the legend of Bowie is worldwide, but it definitely wasn't a, I think he had pockets in the United States up until, you know, the kind of crossover that Les Dance gave him, you know.
