Yeah, when I watched the rivalry game, I guess, between Owen Sound and Barry, this is, you know, when we talk about dogs, those two teams have had some rivalries over the years.

But this game was not it.

I mean, I was watching and And it just felt like, you know, I guess on a good side, one of these teams has to win.

A person is in hospital after a dramatic water rescue in Owen Sound.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene about 8.30 last evening to reports of someone face down in the water.

A firefighter swam out to assess the victim while the department launched the rescue boat to pull the individual aboard.

Firefighters began resuscitation efforts on the water before handing the patient over to Gray County paramedics just before 9 p.m. No update on the person's condition has been released.

As a major employer prepares to walk away from Owen Sound, local labor leaders are calling the decision a profound betrayal.

One of those Western Conference contenders had some big news off the ice over the past couple of weeks, and that is the Chatham Maroons, because Maroons head coach Brennan Feesey stepped down from his role as head coach of the Chatham Maroons to join the OHL's Owen Sound Attack as an assistant coach.

Feesey is a former Maroons player who is in his second season as head coach of Chatham.

He was an assistant coach on their 2025 Sutherland Cup championship team.

And Fizzi's story is such a good one for the GOHL.

A guy who played in this league, went on to enjoy some playing success, came back as a coach.

a guy that players love to play for, and it's another example of the development of the Greater Ontario Hockey League because the GOHL strives to develop people not just as players but off the ice as well, and Brennan Fese can attest to that as a coach who got his start in the GOHL and now moves up to the Ontario Hockey League ranks on Keenan Reynolds' coaching staff in Owen Sound.

So a big congratulations to Brennan Fese.

Who could have the winning ticket? The winner could be very well a resident of one of several communities within Gray County.

Injuries were minor.

A suspect was arrested shortly after, with police quickly determining several other homes in the area had been damaged.

A 20-year-old from Owen Sound is charged with breaking and entering, assault with a weapon and mischief.
