Owen Goodman

I thought Rangers looked like they could have gone to three or four.

And it took some fine interventions by defenders, fine blocks and some top stop by Owen Goodman again in the Dundee goal to keep themselves in it.

And that was important because I don't see them coming back from three goals, 3-1 down.

And fair play to Callum Jones, as George said, you know, he snuffs a chance, he gets on it.

On that 2003 team, there's a wee link to the weekend because Julian Spironi was the man in goal for that season and he was at Dens Park.

He got a good

reception at half-time, didn't he? I've got to say, George, has Julian still got a connection with Crystal Palace? Is he still involved there? He must have been impressed with Owen Goodman.

He must have been impressed.

And I do think to have him as a number two, is really, really honestly good.

But I do just think that looking as who do we want to be our number one, I do still think going forward is Maxine Crapeau for the foreseeable future until we feel ready to give Owen Goodman the reins.

But at this moment in time, nobody did enough for me to go, Okay, Maxine Crapeau's job feels in jeopardy.

It just doesn't.

Let's talk about the positives.

Uh, Owen Goodman, who's playing his soccer right now in Scotland with Dundee.

Uh, he was in the crease for Canada.

Um, I regret he wasn't Canada's starter at the World Cup.

Liked him a lot.

Good performance from the kid.

So starting, uh, in goal, of course, one of the big headlines, maybe the biggest headline coming into this game was that Owen Goodman would be starting, uh, this matchup.

It would be his first cap for the Canadian men's national team.

And of course, congratulations to Owen Goodman.

Not that he watches these, but still feels right to say congratulations.

Um, and you know, I don't wanna sound harsh or anything, but if this was like a decider of if Owen Goodman can be a number one for us at this present moment, it's still very undecided, I would say, because he, um, didn't really have a whole ton to do.

Uh, I thought he just didn't.

Uh, you know, there, he had one, I would say, shaky moment when a cross came in and he kind of was out of position and misjudges a cross and it flies over him and Nico Seager kind of covers for him.
