How many other players from around the world would make that All Blacks 23? So we had Owen Franks, Ma'a Nonu, Retallick, Whitelock, Kano, Read, McCaw.

Just listen to those names again.

Aaron Smith, Dan Carter, Nonu, Conrad Smith, Centurions, all of those guys.

So I think for this All Black team to go forward, I don't think Dave Rennie has the best coaches that he's got available to him.

I'd like to see someone like an Owen Franks come in to work on the scrum.

So unless they think that Bowdoin's versatility... helps him get in there, then I'd probably tend to agree with you right now that he might be finding it difficult to make a 31-man squad as it stands at the moment.

After reading Brad Thorne's book recently, he made it abundantly clear Owen Franks is the scrum guru.

After really struggling initially with the dark arts of scrummaging, Brad said Owen turned him into the best tight-head scrummaging lock in the world.

Absolute freak, he reckons.
