I wasn't entirely impressed with him in the match against Dundee but you can't really argue with that record and unfortunately I wanted to have a look at his actions in this game but why Scoot Hunt uploaded it by the time we came to record this podcast but I went back and looked at him against Hibs and what he did and I think he does quite well in the fact that is he the most refined centre forward no his hold-up play, his link-up play, a wee bit hit and miss, kind of like Barney Short in that sense.

It's also somebody that I think often at times can maybe play on the periphery of the game a bit, but you can see that he's a real threat, like a real kind of fox-in-the-box type, somebody who likes to get his shots away quickly, likes to good at sniffing out chances, and he's got that wee bit of kind of quickness, that wee bit of mobility, that wee bit of burst about him as well, and if Falkirk can sort out everything else around him, and I've said before I'm a big fan of Owen Eames, I think he looks good on the left.

Interesting tactical decision from McGlynn in this one as well to drop Dennis Melnick, who started the season at centre-half, into centre midfield alongside Brad Spencer, dropping out Bren Crowhouse and pushing Finlay Barbrook further forward, who's been quite good, but he's been playing alongside Spence at the base of that midfield.
Craig FowlerHOST

but he had another strong showing in this game if he can add something else because they've not really had anything at the number 10 spot out of Crowhouse so if they can get something else I think that can now be two roles behind Morel where they've got it sorted Ames on the left definitely he's still looking really good like a dangerous player but also does a lot of really good work working backwards if Barbrook can continue his performances push them even further up and Ethan Ross does give you something there's not really much of a final ball there but he is somebody that will get the opposing defence on their heels yeah he's

tell you a play we haven't talked about we just talked about at the start was Finlay Barbrook I thought Finlay Barbrook was all over that park yesterday just ran around he obviously had his chance as well which Callum Ferry, I mean Callum Ferry did very very well he had a lot of saves for them yesterday especially when you go the chance for Owen Eames which came not long after the goal we scored when he got down and just pushed it around the post.
John McInallyHOST
66:41
But yeah, and then obviously, again, by the way, Owen Eames, that ball with the outside of the boot to find Jacob, which he should have scored from.
John McInallyHOST
66:52
But another good save from Callum Ferry in fairness.
John McInallyHOST
66:55
But like, what a ball that was.
Ross WayneHOST
68:58
But they didn't have a lot of time to do much, to be fair.
Ross WayneHOST
69:03
Obviously, I felt sorry for Faudrey with the hair having to go out in the rain.
Ross WayneHOST
69:09
But then that gave Owen Eames' hairstyle a chance to recover as well.
David FrielCORRESPONDENT

Hibs were then awarded a penalty after Lewis Neilson caught Kluitje, but a VAR check showed the contact was outside the box, and the decision was overturned.
David FrielCORRESPONDENT
149:46
Hibs made changes, but they huffed and puffed.
David FrielCORRESPONDENT
149:48
And Falkirk actually almost made it 3-1 through Owen Eames.
David FrielCORRESPONDENT
149:51
Bain then denied Jamie McGarr with a brilliant, a brilliant stop.

You know, the younger players who get in and around the fringes of the team are then sent out on loan.
Nick BrittenHOST
3:36
And one of them, one of them, you know, that everybody's talking about is a lad called Owen Eames, who got sent-

ChrisGUEST
15:32
So we, we do have one or two lads.
ChrisGUEST
15:34
There's a, there's a young midfielder called Owen Eames who's got on, gone on loan in, in, in Scotland and, and is doing very, very well.
ChrisGUEST
15:41
Um, we've got another lad, the forward Dejon Brown, who, you know, m- might not be good enough but, you know, he's, he's, he's at least a product of the academy.
ChrisGUEST
15:48
He's also out on loan as well.
John McInallyHOST
22:05
I don't think that will happen, but I do see Connor McLeod, who we've got on loan from Wills, who looks like he's got pace to burn coming into the side.
John McInallyHOST
22:11
Potentially that means that Ethan Ross might move into the 10 with Owen Eames and Connor McLeod.
John McInallyHOST
22:17
Will they change Jacob Morell up front? Potentially.
John McInallyHOST
22:20
Got his penalty at the weekend.
John McInallyHOST
27:08
...
John McInallyHOST
27:08
it working is if you put Eames into the 10.
Ross WayneHOST
27:11
Yep.
Ross WayneHOST
27:12
Um, I, I obviously we've only seen a very short period of Conor McLeod, uh, but I was really excited by him, uh, with the, with the cameo that he got at Celtic Park before he was injured.
Ross WayneHOST
29:33
Played very, very well.
Ross WayneHOST
29:34
Uh, I don't think he'll get my man of the match weirdly, uh, con- b- considering he did have a very good game.
Ross WayneHOST
29:40
Um, but yeah, up until the, the, the goal that we got, which was all Owen Eames in terms of the, the buildup, um, we didn't have much to shout about yesterday.
John McInallyHOST
29:52
No. G-
John McInallyHOST
25:53
We've got some very exciting players in amongst that as well.
John McInallyHOST
25:56
Certainly Owen Eames has been very impressive for us since he started.
John McInallyHOST
26:00
So it'll be interesting to see how he fares up against Dundee come Saturday.
John McInallyHOST
26:04
But I think it'll be an exciting game.
