Amelia Meath, Nick Sanborn, AKA Sylvan Esso, who just released their latest record, Ow, Infinity, last week.

Over the last decade, Amelia and Nick have established a reputation as genre benders.

Little bit pop, little bit electronic, little bit dance, little bit folk, little bit all of the above.

Guitars feature prominently, some fantastic percussion work from a wide cast of collaborators, and a couple stretches on the record that are just banger after banger.

We love rock songs, and clearly on Ow, Infinity, Amelia and Nick do, too.

They've also, for the last year, been totally absent from the cursed streaming service known as Spotify, an admirable move that, uh, well, you know, we talk about it a little bit, the pros and cons of putting your money where your mouth is, so to speak.
