Exactly.

And I love that artists like Overpass and Neve find ways to blend both elements.
speaker_3HOST
Totally.
speaker_3HOST
So what do you think we'll see next from them? More collaborations or diving deeper into solo work?
DanHOST
Oh, OK. Yeah, and to the Red Lounge, but to the independent venues who are giving people a chance, as well as giving people a chance, they're booking good names as well.
DanHOST
I mean, we had Bashed and Overpass, and that's just as important.
DanHOST
I think you can fill a room with like, you know, 500 to 1,000 people who've come to see a headliner.
DanHOST
They might have only came to see Overpass or Bashed, but they'll stay the whole day and find five, ten other artists that they won't have heard of and come to support the local bands just as much as they have to come to support the band that they've heard of already.
DanHOST
So I think it's important you get that mix where you can pull people in from further afield and keep them there for the local music as well.
DazHOST
Yeah, yeah.

DazHOST

LukeHOST
Yeah.
LukeHOST
there's some really good bands coming from Australia there are and I've just discovered another one which we're going to have to play in a couple of weeks because next week's full as well we've got music from the Crystal Teardrop who are a little bit kind of psychedelic retro Providence Slag Overpass The Lilacs, who we played a few weeks ago, they've got a new one out.
LukeHOST
And Sweeping Promises, which was another one of your peaks.
LukeHOST
That one is an absolute belter.
23 MINS LATER
LukeHOST
We have indeed.
LukeHOST
But, yeah.
LukeHOST
We've got Sweeping Promises, The Lilacs, Overpass and Slag to Come.
LukeHOST
Are you ready for round three? Absolutely not.
Barry PenalunaHOST
But anyway, there was two bands I wanted to see which clashed with each other.
Barry PenalunaHOST
And I just responded on Instagram to say, Esmeralda Road and Overpass clash is heartbreaking.
Barry PenalunaHOST
And then this evening, they posted on their Instagram with a screenshot of my comment and just said, we hear you.
