Overcompensating

But again, as Claire said, we're not that interesting anymore, us old people.

I think TV is lacking a middle ground right now where you have millennial people who might feel a little bit more disconnected from shows like Overcompensating, Benny Drama's show.

That's like a pretty, I feel like, Gen Z charged show, which is really good.

Or like Sex Lives of College Girls, these newer shows.

I never watched Adults.

But I remember it was when Overcompensating came out.

I mean, that was more on campus.

Yeah.

it.

I feel like, I don't know, when you're making a first season of a show, like for Overcompensating, for example, whatever, like you have, like Benny and I were talking about this, it's like the first time you're doing it, like you're... you're finding the tone as you go.

And then you see the show and you're like, duh, that's the tone.

It's so funny, whatever.

Number one is Olympio.

Number two is Overcompensating.

I've watched it.

It's really good.

Ted Lasso, yes.

Heat of Rivalry, of course.

And Overcompensating, yes.

Nice.

And they want to tell their story.

Benito Skinner in Overcompensating.

You know, this is...

He's just the greatest guy.

We have my editor.

One of the editors for Overcompensating was talking about a scene with us in season two.

And I'm spoiling stuff today.

Please.

What did you do? Well, okay.

So there was...

In the dorm room, Wally, who plays Cartman in Overcompensating, her toilet obviously looks very real.

Totally.

Oh, okay.

So when I was filming Overcompensating, um, there's a scene where I have to do karaoke.

I have to...

I have to sing Welcome to the Black Parade as a karaoke version.

Got there at 10:15.

Immediately I was doing bits, and I had to show you the sixth episode of Overcompensating, Total Knockout.

I've got a TV show.

[drumbeats] A-lister.

I should make that.

I did just get this really good merch shirt from Mary Beth Barone, um, the comedian She was in Overcompensating, and she has, like, a special on Netflix right now.

Oh.

And she sells this T-shirt that says, "I heart my perfect rack," and it is my favorite thing that I own right now.

I'm very much enjoying that.

I recommend the series if you get Prime, so you can watch Overcompensating too.

So I've got something waiting for you.

Ooh, yes, I really wanna watch that.
