Okay, maybe I'm confusing them with the team that worked on the OutRun.

That was Sumo Ported, but originally it was AM2, wasn't it?

Yeah, but I think that team, what happened was that some of them ended up becoming like a technical Tiger team inside Sega.

So that's a difficult place to start.

But I genuinely believe that everything that is great about OutRun is almost unquantifiable, except maybe the music.

I think the music is fantastic.

And I think when you look at chiptune music... stuff like magical sound shower and passing breeze and uh flash wave and i think that they're they're way way up there in terms of chiptune music and but i think everything else about it is is more than the sum of its parts so you can't we can't say yes objectively this looks better this sounds better this plays better i don't think it works like that without one and let's not forget that there is a huge scoop of nostalgia with this

Like literally the day this goes out could potentially be its 40th anniversary.

Certainly pretty close.

We're trying to do as close as possible, which is why Dave has finally convinced me to do OutRun.

It's been difficult because I genuinely don't think I'll poke a little podcast and do again like OutRun Justice.

I remember last time I went to visit them was to pick up an OutRun arcade machine.

There's OutRun again.

And their offices were kind of like a little museum at the time.

They had lovely displays.

The second is who's doing it and why.

And back when I started, it was mostly people doing it from a nostalgia point of view, looking back to when they were younger and the fun that they remembered, the unfinished business they had with games, like maybe Ultimate 8, who never finished it.

Or in Chris's case, OutRun, because he had never completed it until now.
