Our Native Daughters

We first met Allison Russell as half of the folk rock band Birds of Chicago.

She was also part of the superb banjo-wielding quartet known as Our Native Daughters.

Then came her first solo album, Outside Child, which showed her command of a wide array of styles, including soul, pop, R&B, and more.

Her latest album is In the Hour of Chaos, and it widens the sonic palette even more because it is essentially a series of collaborations.
