Ottawa Civic Hospital

I, I would fit the category of long in the tooth, I think, when it comes to leaders in the system.

I, uh, studied at Dalhousie University in, in Halifax, and graduated in, in 1986 with my master's in, in health administration, and had the opportunity to start my career at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, which is a, a large academic research, uh, center as, as, as your listeners would know.

Five years there, had a great opportunity to be exposed to a lot of the inner operations of, of hospitals and also had a chance to work with the Health Council on some system projects that were important to the organization at the time.

From there, I, I had an opportunity to move into a senior leader role at the Stratford, uh, General Hospital in 1991, and I've been in, uh, this, uh, organization since then, and it's evolved over the years.
