I've never experimented with a leader with a bait caster, okay? A good friend of mine, Brandon Card, he's a great power fisherman.

Ott Defoe, that's another one.

Another good friend of mine is a great power fisherman.

Those guys, they throw leaders on all kind of stuff.

And, and again, Drew, I mean, couldn't have a better guy on the team than you.

And, uh, I know you got the pleasure to, to partner up with Ott DeFoe.

You guys, uh, did you guys fish last year together and won the whole thing, right? Was it with-

Yep, we did.

And although there are some elements that are there that are the same, um, Hamilton's kind of its own thing.

Like, it had a really unique deal going on.

We were fishing for, me and Ott were fishing for bank schools in, like, six inches to two feet, and there were groups of, like, a bunch of 'em just swimming down the bank at mach speed looking for, like, there were tons of big gizzard shad, there were schools of, of really small shad that were up pretty shallow.

And, uh, you know, it was, uh, it was like, you know, you hear the term, like, wolf packs and burning down the bank with a top water in the fall, and, like, that's always the thing you hear.

And, and again, Drew, I mean, couldn't have a better guy on the team than you.

And, uh, I know you got the pleasure to, to partner up with Ott Defoe.

Greg Hackney admits that he needs to learn how to fish better e- with forward-facing sonar.

Uh, or even a perfect, even better perfect example is Ott DeFoe went to Drew Gill and said, "Can you help me learn or teach me or figure this out?" And they spent days together.

I, the, I thought-

And who, they were, they were teammates at the World-

They're trying to get bass fishing in the Olympics as a bass fishing, uh, as a sport, you know, trying to, trying to make it a gold medal sport in the Olympics and, uh, they're trying real hard.

But it- we had a, we had a great team, Scott Martin, Ott Defoe, uh, Drew Gill.

So I mean, it was just a, a very, very cool team to have, uh, have back there competing.

They did sweep the gold.

They won individual gold and overall last year.

They won double gold right here in South Africa.

Ott Defoe, Ott Defoe and Drew Gill in the boat together.

Yep.

They were on one boat together.

Scott Martin and Dakota Ebare were on the other boat, and then the third boat comprised of Ott Defoe and Drew Gill.

So if you're looking at, you know, six anglers, they put together six pretty good anglers to go against the world here.

So again, they took first place, and so we got the gold medal, um, for this year.

And, man, these are hammer teams.

How about Drew Gill and Ott Defoe? They're leading it.

Had a big day yesterday as well, but they're leading with 33-9.

Dakota Ebert and Scott Martin in second with 33-1.
