Oswald Peraza

I mean, I watched.

Oswald Peraza and Everson Pereira do it for years, and then they came to the big league club, and they were 500 OPS guys.

But for Volpe here, big moment tonight.

I think it was awesome for him after literally having his chain snatched.

And then, by the way, Kyron Paris, who doesn't have a hit this year, but he's got a 182 OPS.

And then it's right to Oswald Peraza, who the Yankees in 2019 thought was going to be something.

So he's going to take his 620 OPS up to the plate and his 225 batting average.

And if you can somehow squeeze through him, you've got to face Denzel Guzman, who's 227, and he's got a 625 OPS.

He makes a lot of boneheaded plays, but he also gives you moments like this.

And how about this stretch here? You go single, single from Peraza and Guzman, Tyler Heineman sac bunt, Zach Netto three-run shot, Mike Trout double, José Siri two-run shot.

If that isn't a turning point, I don't know what is.

And it's capped off by- Just five Angels batters later in the top of the fourth inning, a solo shot from Denzer Guzman, where he got all of one as well, 104 off the bat on a cutter at the knees.

But that top of the third, again, was beautiful.

It's everything you would ask for from the Angels.

Two base hits on two good swings from Peraza and Guzman.

Peraza scorched his.

I'm just not gonna say no to home runs, and that's, that's kinda what I wanna get at here is, like, it was more than just the fact that everybody was trying to swing for the fences, and I think a good example of that was how they created opportunities against Jake Bennett.

For example, top of the third begins with two singles in a row from Oswald Peraza and Denzer Guzman.

Then Tyler Heineman, who's batting ninth, bunts them over to second and third.

And so at this point, all Neto really has to do is hit, hit a sac fly and the Angels take the lead at this point.

Like, he was getting smoked in by some not very good hitters either.

Like, Oswald Peraza hit a ball that rolled in the outfield.

Like, I feel like I've never seen a ball roll in the Fenway outfield before.

This sequence here with Neto ends up hitting a three-run shot after a Peraza-Guzman base hit that put the Angels up 3-0.
