Oscar Fraulo

The players that came on the pitch made a huge difference.

I thought Fraulo's energy, which is shown in previous games, was infectious.

I thought Fusaini, just having that little bit of pace, that little bit of spark, injected what we needed into the game.

Again, it's context to this position.

But you mentioned it earlier about Derby's sort of style of play, I think going forward yesterday and also against West Brom as well and maybe throughout this season is that we do usually look quite direct, but we don't seem to really have that cutting edge in the final third.

We saw Oscar Fraulo come on, who I think has been lively and been a positive player for us in the opening part of this season.

But once again, he gets to the byline.

I don't know if that was based on his data or injury or whatever they call it nowadays or whether it was tactical.

But you need to put his name into that conversation, Jack, because I think people are forgetting that Oscar Fraulo is now actually starting to become, and we hope this happens with the likes of Bill Beer and the guys that came through the door last week, that he is actually starting to be a footballer.

Now, we've always known he's got an incredible ability to control the football.

We said this on a podcast a couple of weeks ago.

I think he's playing his way into it, but I think we still think John Eustace, and we think who he had his eye on initially.

You think Travis, you think Mowat, you think those more experienced heads.

I think the way Frollo's playing, could we, certainly in time, when you look at how the strength of this midfield now and the prospects that are in there, could we be looking at an Oso-Frollo pairing going forward? That'd be a nice thing to have long term, wouldn't it? It would,

but then it asks the question as to why we signed Moura and what happens to the captain of the club, Lewis Travis.

And I don't think it's been great for a number of years because the amount of times we pick up a ball and you'd have someone like David Ozo, Alex Mowat, they'd pick the ball up probably 35, 40 yards out.

And there was one player who moved, Oscar Fraulo, who I thought was excellent, by the way, yesterday.

I thought he was really good.

And he was probably, him and Ozo were probably two Derby, Derby two only good outfield players yesterday.

Brewster came in off the left, Lange has moved to right back.

It was Forsyth actually that came in in the back line and then Fraulo into the midfield.

And I think we'll see Fraulo replaced by Oso when it comes to our game.

And then if we move on to Chance Creation, just look at how they can be dangerous.

We defended superbly, I think all of the back line were brilliant.

I thought Mowat was excellent in midfield, I thought Fraulo in the couple of games that he's played has showed an energy and desire to get around the pitch to really help those in that back line.

Man for man, superb.

You could have picked five or six players of the matches.

The midfield is just well-oiled.

Travis, Fraulo, Clarke, etc.

And Manchester, Most excitingly and probably the big news from last week, George, is I had my first big youth team moment.

I think I mentioned to you that my self-imposed rule is I have to have a Derby County Academy graduate play in every game.

I mean, Joe Ward, who I have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of Joe Ward, especially in the forward areas.

I think he's quite a, he's good at crossing, isn't he? But Joe Ward, Sammy Smodics, Rhian Brewster, Philip Bilbeer, Owen Eames, Oscar Fraulo, all on the bench.

And I'd say majority of them potentially could and maybe should have been in the starting line-up, but...

We've seen the team.

Don't want him.

And yet we've signed him.

Why? Same with Oscar Fraulo.

We bought Oscar Fraulo in January.
